Ravan of Ramayana is a symbolic presentation of lust, anger, greed and ego.Laxman Rekha was soul consciousness of pure self which he could not cross.Similarly the golden deer of Ramayana was a symbolic representation of worldly attractions.
Ram Charit Manas and Ramayana teach us that the two separate class and factors are consciousness and body which can never join or unite.They are contrary in nature and separate in basic features.Consciousness wrongly identifies itself with ego and body, though this bondage is farce and non existent.
