Anemia

When blood does not have enough iron in the Red Blood Cells (RBC) it is called Anemia. It can be because of loss of blood or insufficient iron intake by the person. Fatigue, weakness or pale skin is symptoms of anemia generally exhibited.

If diagnosed with anemia one should take food with rich iron contents such as - meat, leafy vegetables, dried fruits like raisins, fig, dales, lotus stem and seeds. Vitamin C found mainly in citrus fruits and tomato increases absorption form of iron.

Vitamin B complex particularly B6 found in milk and liver etc and B12 found mainly in eggs, cheese and milk make iron uptake easier.
